Description

Boudin studied in Paris, but was largely self-taught. He painted chiefly marine subjects. He first exhibited in the Salon in 1853; gained a third class medal in 1881; second class in 1882; and a gold medal first class in 1889. Knight of the Legion of Honour, 1892.
