Basket-hilted sword, Whitelaw Class C. Blade signed 'Herman Keisserr' and erroneously dated '1570'. Coat of arms engraved onto the forte, said to be that of James Graham, first Marquis of Montrose. Knuckle bow bears the initials 'IS' (John Simpson of Glasgow). Wooden grip. First quarter of the 18th century.
