Description

Cantagalli took over the family factory in Florence in 1878. He was greatly influenced by the old masters and produced highly decorative Italian ceramics in the Renaissance style. He developed a friendship with William de Morgan, a British pottery and tile designer which lead to his designs becoming popular internationally. The Cantagalli factory finally closed in 1985.
