Description

Close Helmet for the tilt (joust); skull with keel-shaped comb slightly roped and pierced for the crest; five pairs of small holes and two larger on base of skull with seven rivets for lining; visor with single horizontal sight fitting into upper bevor (ventail) and secured by a spring-catch; upper bevor fitted with hinged trap door on right side and projecting threaded bolt for a reinforcing plate secured to lower bevor by spring catch, lower bevor fastened to skull by hook on right and spring-catch on left side; neck channelled for turning on gorget.
