Description

Woman’s shoes or trainers, a pair (E.2008.1.2+3), and associated shoe box (E.2008.1.1), Low Top Ethletic with blue cotton uppers. White rubber latex vamp. Blue cotton quarters and tongue fastening up centre front with white cotton lace. Double seams sewn in white thread. Manufacturer’s woven label at top of tongue ‘Ethletic’. White rubber latex sole, impressed with 'FSC' (Forest Stewardship Council) in centre. Size 5.

The materials are sourced ethically, including sustainable rubber sourced from a sustainable plantation in Sri Lanka. The pay and working conditions of workers in both the production of materials and manufacture of the shoes meet the Fair Trade Criteria. An additional premium from their retail priced going towards the health insurance of the workers and also ensures their working conditions and hours are of a suitable standard, and most importantly are safe.
