This collection includes around 240 pieces of furniture, fixtures and fittings designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and over 3,000 pieces of panelling and fixtures that comprise the 17 interiors removed from the Ingram Street Tearooms in 1971, including The Ladies' Luncheon Room of between 1900 and 1901 and The Chinese Room of 1911. These latter pieces include furniture made by Glasgow cabinetmakers Francis Smith and James Craig amongst others. Important pieces include a luxurious inlaid and ebonized writing desk for The Hill House, Helensburgh, and an associated pair of candlesticks, a chair and lampshade panel. These include two pieces of furniture from her Argyle Street Tearooms, four stencil cards from the decorative scheme at Buchanan Street tearooms and eight fixtures and fittings from The Willow Tearooms. The collection also contains models, miniatures and reproductions of Mackintosh's architectural, interior and furniture designs. These include the Mackintosh doll's house created by Margaret and Michael Hartley, a furnished miniature Ladies' Luncheon Room made by members of the North Glasgow Doll's House Group and 1:20 scale models of four Mackintosh buildings made by BG Models Ltd. It also contains five reproduction chairs and three reproduction plaster cast panels from The Willow Tearooms.
