Trolleybuses

Comments

Glasgow Museums has a single Trolleybus in its collection along with some associated materials. Trolleybuses were used in Glasgow from 1949 until 1967. Trolleybuses were powered by electricity by overhead cables. They were seen as more flexible to the trams, which we confined to certain streets due to the fact they had to run on tracks. A single deck trolleybus (TBS 13) is in the collection along with a small collection of associated material such as tickets, maps, timetables, photographs and roadside signs.
