Glasgow Museums has a collection of almost 600 objects dating from 1931 to the late twentieth century. The biggest part of this collection combines photographs, signed pieces, drawings and books that come from Second World War pilots. There are also a series of oral histories recorded with Spitfire pilots. In addition, the Eric Starling logbooks record Starling’s war service as well his civil aviation years.
