Glasgow Museums has a collection of approximately 42 coachbuilt prams. These include prams designed to transport babies and small children, as well as doll’s prams. The largest number were made by Silver Cross, other makers include: Churchill, Marmet, Osnath, Tenby, Tri-ang, Mulliner, Montana, and Pedigree. Traditional coach-built prams generally have in common: a folding hood, a hard body, a generous frame and large spoked wheels and a strong, sturdy chassis with C-spring suspension.
