Glasgow Museums has a very small collection of two 3-wheeled pushchairs. A ‘Dreamer Design’ folding buggy designed to transport twins, and a Mothercare ‘Urban Detour’ stroller. Pushchairs with three wheels are designed to be used off-road, this allows them to be pushed with less difficulty than a four wheeled pram in places such as the countryside or a sandy beach. The single front wheel makes them easy to manoeuvre, even with a single hand. Each three-wheeled pushchair was donated to Glasgow Museums by individuals, and each comes with accompanying sun/wind canopies and rain covers. The Dreamer Design also comes with detachable double infant carrier and detachable under-seat storage.
