Drumsargad Castle

Comments

Glasgow Museums has a collection of around 150 objects from the excavation in 1994 of an area to the east of Drumsargad Castle, in Cambuslang, South Lanarkshire. The objects date from between 1400 and 1900. The collection contains sherds of modern and medieval pottery, clay pipes, window glass, fragments of slate, tiles, field drains, iron nails, a horseshoe and a blue paste bead. It is believed that this material is not necessarily local, and could have brought to the site through manuring.
