This Collections Level Description collates the object records for Iron Age artefacts which are mainly stray finds, or are believed to be stray finds, ie they have been found by chance and not through excavation or other targeted programmes of archaeological research. It also includes objects which have probably been excavated but for which there is no accompanying data about their close provenance or means of discovery. Where there are a lot of stray finds from one limited geographical area, these have been collated into separate Site records.
