The collection represents Glaswegian seats and dates from the late 1800s to the 1990s. The range of objects representing elections varies from photographs to campaigning promotional material made for elections including posters, leaflets and photographs. The earliest representations date to the late 1800s and in especially strong in the 1980s. The latest collection represents the 1990s in post devolution Scotland and the reestablishment of the Scottish Parliament.
