Glasgow Museums has a collection of approximately 26 objects about the town of Lerwick, on the islands of Shetland and their main town. Three are relevant to the Scottish history collection and its category of Scottish government. It is represented through communion tokens representing the Church of Scotland. The collection dates from the 19th century. There are also objects representing the town’s economy and topographic art showing it.
