Glasgow Museums has a collection of approximately 13 objects representing the Scottish Home Rule movement Parliament in the 20th century. These objects include 1 object representing the 1913 Government of Scotland Parliamentary bill, prompted by William Henry Cowan MP from East Aberdeenshire and supported by all the Scottish Liberal MPs. Then there is a booklet called ‘Constitution for Free Scots – What a Scottish Parliament can do’ from 1975 and a poster promoting the independence referendum of 1979. Another 4 objects derive from the 1997 referendum for a Scottish Parliament and another 5 from 1999 marking its reopening.
