Glasgow Museums has a collection of 7 objects representing the noble title Viscountess, of which none are Scottish. They are all English. The collection generally categorised history, art and decorative art. Three objects are print portraits with the sitters being related to political and military leaders through birth and marriage and holding power themselves, such as Elizabeth Lamb, Viscountess Melbourne. One object was made by a Viscountess herself – a painting of oxen by Viscountess Harberton Fairlie Hamar, who studied painting at the Slade School of Fine Art. Most of the collection dates from the 18th and 20th centuries.
