Glasgow Museums has a collection of approximately 55 objects representing the noble title Viscount, of which 10 represent Scottish Viscounts ( Belhaven, Duncan, Dundee, Elibank, Muirshiel, Weir). There are further 44 objects for English and Irish Viscounts and 1 for a French Viscount. The collection generally categorised history, art and decorative art. The range of objects representing Scottish Viscounts varies. There are portraits, photographs and archives and representations of property. The English and Irish collection includes objects representing Nelson, Wellington, Hood and Kitchener as British military leaders. Most of the collection dates from the 18th and 20th centuries.
