Emily Malcolm has worked for Glasgow Museums since 2003. As part of the Transport and Technology team based at Riverside Musum she concentrates on maritime and engineering collections, particularly Glasgow Museums' internationally important collection of ship models.
Emily studied at the University of Glasgow and University of St Andrews, and has worked with maritime collections across Scotland since 1995. Her research seeks to re-focus the interpretation of ship models to foreground their manufacture and use in industiry – and to create engaging content in our museums.
The main outcome of this work has been the publication of Glasgow Museums, The Ship Models, Glasgow Museums, Seaforth, 2019.- Collections
