Description

Noble was the son of Sir Saxton William Armstrong Noble of Ardmore and Ardardan, 3rd Baronet, and Celia Brunel James. He married Celia Weigall JP in 1926 at St George’s, Hanover Square, London. Their properties included Hornton Lodge, Campden Hill, London W8, and Walwick Hall, Humshaugh, Hexham, Northumberland.
Noble served with the Northumberland Hussars, rising from 2nd Lieutenant to Major. He fought in both world wars, served as the High Sheriff of Northumberland, was made a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in 1956 and was President of the Northern Sinfonia Orchestra between 1959 and 1968. He died at Walwick Hall.
