Black ink drawing of Caledonia Road Church showing an elevation to Cathcart Road and tenements. Signed Robert McDougall & Baird & Thomson. Handwritten location and date of Glasgow 14th October 1856. Caledonia Road Church, formerly Caledonia Road United Presbyterian Church and Hutchesontown and Caledonia Road Church, was opened on 22 March 1857. It had been designed by architect John Baird, who ran an architectural office with Alexander Thomson. After the break up of their partnership, Thomson continued the construction. The church was gutted and partially demolished following an arson attack on 30 October 1965. Thomson became an elder of this church.
