This carpet has a large centre field with a pale yellow background, framed by a border with a dark blue, almost black background. The centre field design consists of two intertwined arabesque networks, one with dark blue thin stems and pink leaf scrolls, and the other with a lighter blue network of large leaf scrolls and multi-coloured flowers. Multi-coloured palmettes are positioned at the junctions where the two networks overlap or crisscross. In the middle of the centre field is an arabesque medallion with a pink background and dark blue leafs and lighter blue vegetal stems. In the four corners of the filed are quarter-medallions with salmon-pink coloured vegetal scrolls on an ivory background. The border’s pattern is made up of two networks of vegetal scrolls that intertwine, one in blue and one in light brown / ochre colour.
