Six children of various ages. The boy on the right dressed in red turns his back to the others as he plays his lute. His fellow musician faces the others as he plays his pipe. He is barefoot. The other four, including an older, perhaps a nursemaid, and a younger girl, stand as audience but show no animation in their somewhat rigid poses.
