The European glass collection at Glasgow Museums from this date range predominantly comprises eighteenth-century English table glass, mostly in the form drinking glasses, and sweetmeat dishes. Glasgow Museums also holds a significant collection of Dutch engraved drinking glasses, demonstrating a range of decorative techniques including diamond stippling and wheel engraving. There is also a small but fine collection of Venetian glass featuring late seventeenth and eighteenth-century drinking glasses, vases, and tazzas.
