Modern and Contemporary International Art Post 2000

Comments

Glasgow Museums has a growing collection of international artworks made after the year 2000.

A significant number of these works were collected through the Art Fund International Collecting Scheme (2007 - 12), which saw work pre and post 2000 works coming into the collection. This included work created post 2000 by artists such as, Emily Jacir, Fiona Tan, Jenny Holzer, Thomas Demand, Omar Fast, and Wolfgang Tillmans.

Through conversations during Art Fund International, Glasgow Museums commissioned with the help of Art Fund, a public artwork by Lawrence Weiner in 2015, with his text work being carved in steps around GoMA.

We have continued to collect international work from artists such as Hito Steyerl, Sharon Hayes and Walter Price coming into the collection. For more information please see CLD Art Fund International We continue to collect international work pre 2000, please see CLD Modern and Contemporary International Art 1954 - 2000
