Description

Ed Johnson has been Curator of Medieval and Renaissance Collections at the Burrell Collection since 2020. He joined Glasgow Museums in 2014 as part of the Kelvin Hall project team, and from 2016 to 2020 he was an Assistant Curator responsible for providing collections access across Glasgow Museums’ stores.

Ed gained his undergraduate degree in History from the University of Hull in 2006 and went on to complete his Masters in Medieval History at the University of Edinburgh in 2011. Prior to joining Glasgow Museums he worked for a number of museums including Hull Museums, The National Mining Museum Scotland, The Museum of London and the British Museum.
